Q3: I am using Netscape 4.x or lower; why am I getting the blank screen with no charts showing?Your Internet connection could be connected from behind a firewall or proxy. We suggest you consider consulting your network administrator for further advice. We have found that the following steps will make FXCM's IntelliChart Desktop work under proxy settings:
- Close Netscape if it is currently running.
- Launch a text editor such as Notepad or Word Pad.
- Select Open from the File menu drop-down.
- At the bottom of the dialog box, change the "Files of Type" selection to "*All files" or "*All documents".
- Using the directory tree, locate the file called "prefs.js" usually located in your C drive under ProgramFiles\Netscape\users\username.
- Select the file and open it.
- Scroll to the bottom and type (exactly) the following:
user_pref("security.lower_java_network_security_by_trusting_proxies", true); - Click Save. This automatically overwrites the old file.
- Launch Netscape.
